Most of the thumbnails of animated gif file are not representative of its contents. They are usually not very interesting looking. If the users are scanning for interesting material solely based on the look of the thumbnails, many of these animated gif will not be picked. Adding a movie icon/watermark on the thumbnail will help alot.

My comment shows up correctly right after I clicked "save". I refresh the page, my comment vanishes. I repeated multiple times, same result each time.
I have no problem commenting on other picture. Is it closed for comment? If yes, don't even show the user the text box. If no, then why are comments dropped? Is it censorship trying to filter certain keywords in the comment?

We were having some issues early this morning and saving the captions
took longer than usual. However, they were indeed being saved and should
have been visible a few minutes after you posted them.

Go to the user profile.
In the gallery Caption tab
select either newest or highest rating
scroll to the bottom of the list
click on the "Next>>" button.
Expectation: to see the next page of captions.
Reality: get nothing.
failed the same way in both sorting order.

Thanks so much for letting me know about that. I'll fix it ASAP.
In the gallery page, one can click the <<Prev and Next>> button to get the next picture, or click on one of the 6 thumbnails to skip over pictures that have been seen already.
However, if all 6 thumbnail has been seen before, the only way to skip forward is to click on the 6th thumbnail. It would be nice to add another button to roll in another 6 thumbnail without needing to load the big picture unnecessarily.

When I open the All Time top picture page, I found that page 3 is identical to page 1.

Yep, I have plans for this. Unfortunately it keeps falling on the priority list in favor of some other things, but you should be seeing it implemented soon.
Is there a way to go back a few months to see old picture? I am new to imgur and like to see older postings that I miss in the past 4 years. However, when I use the "NEW" mode to browse the pictures, hitting the arrow key will not move me to the earlier post. Instead, I was redirected to the list on the right pane. I tried scrolling down the NEW page and look for older postings, but as soon as I click a picture, it brought be back to the top and it takes forever to scroll to posting from just two months ago. Going back 2 years is totally impossible.
What is the point of putting the links at the bottom of the browser window when the screen will scroll up as soon as you reach the bottom?. It is like chasing a moving target. It makes sense for them to be on the home page though.

I've gone ahead and just removed the footer links from the gallery page. You can still find them on every other page on the site.
