Can't upload png file. its 400kb, all the error says unable to upload.
its a png file, screen capped from my Mac. 400kb. all the error says is image failed to upload.

Are you running any extensions with your browser? Try disabling them to see if that changes things.

I can think of only two reasons.
Either the server was overloaded at the time.
File was corrupt.
I can confirm that Imgur uploader is not perfect. I tends to give error on some uploads. Hell, I sometime get a failure rate of 5-8% on a batch upload of multiple images.
Did you try uploading it again?
try uploading it on a third party site to confirm there are no issues with the image itself?if you are uploading it from the dashboard, try it from the homepage as well.

I was able to upload the image from flickr just fine http://i.imgur.com/XhQTn.jpg but of course it is not the original image that you are probably trying to upload yourself.
try downloading the image from flickr and uploading that? maybe there are some issues that imgur uploader is not able to tackle?
True, if you were to take a screen cap of the pic. If its ok. I'll just use yours. But leave the original one I'm trying to upload. This way Imgur can contact me about this and it can become that much better.
