Stop converting to jpeg!

Why is imgur suddenly resizing/converting my images to horrible jpeg? If I upload a png I want it to stay png for the quality.

PNG will be automatically converted to JPEG if it is about 1mb.

Hi there

I am not the user of imgur ,so i am not so familiar with imgur.But i want to know if  imgur can convert image to word?My previous image processor SDK can not convert image.Thanks a lot.

I have only tried to convert pdf to image with the help of 3rd party toolkits. But you said that PNG will be automatically converted to JPEG if it is about 1mb.Did it mean that it can be done without any converters?
