I have recently reinstalled Chrome, but I'm having a similar issue.  The problem appears to happen when images are embedded?  Not sure, but if multiple images are on a single page Chrome will load the first two or three images and the others fail to load.  I've tried reinstalling Chrome including using a beta of Chrome, but no success.  I'm already using Google's public DNS servers and Safari loads the images without issue.
