As for the types of image compression, I prefer to lossless compression, like using PNG image. This will not influence the image quality during image compression. That is to say, your image quality will be the same as your orignial image.

I agree with that it is difficult to convert svg to other formats. I am quite interested in this image and done some reserches on it. Laterly, found a good image solution to convert it to other images.
