happens with me with control-v uploads. but i thought it was my ISP which was being an ass throughout the last couple of hours. 

I have been having a hard time getting Imgur.com to work for me. All I get is the CloudFlare error message. My account backend also does not load at all. Using IMGUR APIs to upload images also show me the CloudFlare error page. I am using Google Public DNS BTW.

Making a copy is the only way out currently. And a safer one too. Because the original image could be removed by its uploader at a later stage. I am not sure if Imgur uses deduplication techniques for all the images that are currently hosted on their servers because there has to be massive amount of duplicates there! 

I guess Imgur developers would eventually add a feature to favorite images from other uploaders so that you can access them from your own account! Something that I used to do on Flickr when I was active there. 

Animated GIFs are easy because they work out of the box. Videos have embedding related problem. Images are supported almost everywhere and are more likely to be treated as fair use compared to actual videos. Meanwhile I am still waiting for support for WebP :P 

weird. it should definitely work in chrome. i believe the advanced functions are powered by aviary. are you sure there are no browser extensions that might be blocking the functionality?

I can confirm. I downloaded the album and got anime stuff instead! 

I was able to upload the image from flickr just fine http://i.imgur.com/XhQTn.jpg but of course it is not the original image that you are probably trying to upload yourself.
