Noisy "Resolve Stain Buster" ad auto-play

Just reporting another auto-playing ad. 'Resolve Stain Buster' just started playing audio and kept showing up on three different pages I tried. It's never happened before though.

Ugh, nothing is more irritating. Audio ads are definitely not something I want on the site, but somehow they slipped through one of our ad networks. They should be disabled now.

New bug introduced over the weekend, regarding ` character.

Apparently if you hit ` (that's the 'left single quote' underneath tilde (~/`)) it opens up some kind of broken help screen.


It's not major, just annoying.  I didn't see it come up when other characters are hit while the page is active.. hoping that you might adjust whatever may have changed so that the ` key stops doing weird stuff.  For now I'll just see if I can block the script.


I have a remap with autohotkey which makes use of this button, but the screen will come up if I'm closing a tab in chrome, and the next tab is an imgur image-page link.

A recent post of Christina Applegate was thriving on the user submitted gallery. I would like to know why it was taken down.

I can't be sure why any individual image was taken down, but it's usually because we received a DMCA complaint that it violated copyright, or it violated some other part of the tos.

It is in the title. I just don´t understand how such a clean and sleek service can be offered for free. Makes me wondering but YES, sure - I love what I see here and I already used it twice. Compared to this, all other services seem to be from the stoneage.

Not a bug

No images are loading on Imgur.

i.imgur gives a problem loading page, and on the front page the previews don't display at all. This has been going on for days now.

Try changing your DNS to Google's Public DNS or Open DNS.

What powers the Similar Images block?

I just noticed the Similar Images block on Imgur. What powers it!?

It's powered by Reddit. It will show other images from the same subreddit that the image is in. So for example, if you got there by clicking on an image in /r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu, then it will display other images in /r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu.

Great extension. Unfortunately, Firefox 7.0+ is incompatible with this extension. I would appreciate an update.

I'm using Firefox 8 beta and it still works great. Are you sure you have the latest version?

Slow Upload

I have symmetrical gigabit internet, yet uploads to Imgur are painfully slow. It's not a bandwidth issue as each image upload stalls at about 90% for several minutes, then moves onto the next one and stalls again.

Copying and pasting

Your copy/paste functionality is garbage. It's almost impossible to copy a link on the first try because it like auto-highlights the URL before you even click your mouse. And then it does it to every other one you hover over. It's terrible.
