No record of recipient under Messages > Sent

Justin Matter 12 years ago updated by agenbolakaki 10 years ago 0

In the Messages > Sent list, there's no apparent way to see the recipient of a private message until / unless that person replies to your message. Your Sent Messages link back to your own profile, but I already know that I'm the one who sent them. :)  Possible to add a link to the recipient's profile from within the Sent Message as well?  Thanks!

Please give the option to edit a comment for 5 seconds after it's posted.

Devil God 11 years ago 0
I understand editing capabilities lead to trouble and confusion sometimes, so that is why I ask that the limit be something as little as 5 seconds. Often, I would notice that I made a typo only after I submitted a comment and have to quickly: select the text, copy, delete the comment, make a new comment, paste, edit the typo, and submit again. It's not a huge deal but would be nice to be able to edit for a few seconds after you submit a comment.

Thank you for reading!

Hiding (or deleting) images from your imgur gallery removes them from any albums that contain them.

Alexander Varbanov 12 years ago 0

I can see why that is the case, but at the very least, I would love to see a yes/no dialog box appear whenever you try to hide something, that's in an album.

Fixed

None of the images work for me, the website is still accesible. I'm in theNetherlands.

As a frequent user of reddit, when all the imgur images stopped working, I was unable to do my daily browsing.

Is there soemthing wrong with the image servers? My girlfriend's internet can't access them eiter. I'm in the Netherlands.

There are some issues with people not being able to load images, specifically in Europe and The Netherlands. I've contacted Edgecast (the network used to display the images) and they're aware of what's happening and are working to get it fixed.

Sorry for the trouble, but it looks like things are out of my hands at this point. However, Edgecast is usually really on top of things, so I expect this should be resolved soon.

Anonymous upload option when logged in

Eric Hinrichsen 13 years ago updated by Alan Schaaf (Founder) 13 years ago 1
Sometimes I'm just wanting to use imgur for one-off uploads, sharing of screenshots by IM, etc, that I don't want to become part of my login's set of images.

Currently I need to log off, upload, share, log back in when doing this.

If there's real estate, a 2nd, smaller, "Upload Images <as Anonymous>: (Computer/URL)" box when logged in would be a great help. Also, when doing upload by dragging into the browser window, maybe have a little "Anonymous" box in the lower left that when dragged over would upload anonymously would be cool too.

Inside your account, there's a "hide" button that appears when you select an image for deletion. This is why this button is there, so that you can hide those images from your account and make them anonymous. Thus, there's no need to actually sign out or upload as anonymous.

Having an deletion time?

Jay Deshaun 12 years ago updated by Sarah 12 years ago 2
Hi,
I think it would be nice to have a deleting time, if we enable it.
We have an option whether to delete the picture in 24 hours or a week, and/or month.

You always have the option to delete an image.

It would be great if I could create non-gallery albums made of existing images (references to images rather than new uploads)

Mackenzie Goode 12 years ago updated by Sarah 12 years ago 1

Does that make sense? What I'm suggesting is a bit like the way faving on deviantart or youtube works, where you can like an image regularly or add it to a specific group/playlist of liked images/videos etc. in this case images and possibly albums that appear in the gallery or /r/ sub galleries. ~lostsemicolon on imgur

I'd like a way to upload images directly to an existing album.

Ian Watson 13 years ago updated by Alan Schaaf (Founder) 13 years ago 0
I'd like a way to upload images directly to an existing album, so if I'm viewing an album and want to add more to it, I don't have to go back to the main gallery, upload images to the gallery, and then select which images I want to go in the album.

On the "Images" page over to the right, there is a drop-down selection where you can select an album for your uploaded images to go into.
