Images are not being displayed on the-mainboard.com and it must be because you're blocking the site.

Screenshots of web pages

Michael Shihrer 13 ár síðan updated by Sarah 13 ár síðan 0

It would be nice to be able to grab a screenshot of a web page through a URL.  Could even allow web developers the ability to quickly see how a page will look in various browsers.  It would also allow quick and easy mirrors of a page before it gets taken down by Reddit traffic.

I don't see it being needed by many but it's something I could use almost every day.

Firefox 14 not loading pictures at bottom of page

Passoo gulliUser 12 ár síðan updated by Sarah 12 ár síðan 1
Hello,

when using Firefox 14 and scrolling down to the end of e.g. /r/awww there is the circle at the end of the first page but Firefox won't load pictures of the 2nd or 3rd page.

No addons are active that would affect the function of imgur. Any suggestions?

Allow for short HTML5 video's (instead of animated gifs)

H3g3m0n 12 ár síðan updated by Sushubh Mittal 10 ár síðan 4
I'm not suggesting full videos, theres already sites like youtube/vimeo for that and it would require probably require drastic changes to the CDN and storage.

Just as an alternative to animated gifs.

Just:
* Limited file sizes/lengths to sizes similar to animated gifs.
* Loop like gifs.
* No sound.
* No controls.
* Could even support a fallback to animated gifs when there is no support.

It would:
* Save file sizes/bandwidth
* Give better quality.
* Encourage other services to support the standard (forums and so on).

Compressing video into a sequence of pictures like we see with animated gifs is a silly hack.

Auto Rotation Recognition

Kevin Parry 14 ár síðan updated by Alan Schaaf (Founder) 13 ár síðan 0
Could you make it so that Imgur recognises Auto Rotation for Nikons and Canons? I experienced "inconsistencies" when using your image rotate feature in the EDIT section
Answer
Alan Schaaf (Founder) 13 ár síðan

Imgur already auto-rotates all images with the Orientation set in EXIF data. Is it not working for you? If not, could you send me over an image so I can look at it? My email is alan@imgur.com

EDIT: Never heard back. Closing...

Upload to albums through email

Hikedaya 10 ár síðan 0
Uploading images via e-mail is awesome feature. Easy to perform and nice to script. But it would be nice to select album, to which images will be uploaded. For example, one enter name of target album in message subject, and images will be added to specified album. How about this?

If the images load in Chrome and Opera, but not in Firefox, then it has something to do with your Firefox installation, and is specific to your computer. There's no way for me to know exactly what the problem is. Try disabling all extensions or running FF in safe mode. You also might want to try submitting a FF bug report.
