Missing Images

Hi, many of my images in the account disapeared. I wonder if you deleted them or it's some kind of bug? If you deleted them it'd be cool if you, maybe, send a notification/email to tell us you do that, so maybe we can better understand what images we should not upload in future. If you do not deleted them, is it possible to restore those images in some way? Thanks!

It does seem that your images were deleted. The only reason this could have happened is if they were in violation of the terms of service (pornography, copyrighted material, abusive, etc.).

another voice requesting alternative payment options

Hi. Of all the image sharing sites I've tried out, imgur is by far the coolest looking, most intuitive to use, and just generally feels right. I would really like to go pro and migrate all my shareworthy images here. 

However, I resent PayPal's business ethics and don't want to deal with them or via them. The FAQ search revealed that you are already planning to implement other payment channels as well. So, first the question part: when have you planned to expand the options? 

And second, the "thanks" part: it's great to know such a plan is on the way - you'll be gaining a subscriber :)

Views counter for uploaded images.

Hey! So recently, (the last few days) my views on my images have not been updating. many are stuck on 0 views, and i KNOW they have a lot of views. One of my comics got on the frontpage of reddit yesterday and it still says zero views.

Any chance you could fix whatever's glitchin?

We are currently having a conflict with our CDN, who provides us with the data to tabulate the views. They said they need 24-48 hours to work it out on their end, but hopefully after that you will notice all of the views updated. Sorry for the downtime.

After hiding an image I cannot remove it from an album.

I hid an image not knowing the implications of doing so. Now I cannot remove the image from an album which contains it, and I have already published links to the album. I really need to get the image out of there.

Hiding an image is a permanent action. You will need to use the deletion code or the request deletion form to have it removed.

Imgur app won't let me sign in

When I try to sign in with Facebook, Safari comes up w Facebook sign in, let's me sign in, brings up the Imgur app and just sits on the sign in page. This is on an iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.4

Would it be possible to edit a comment for a limited time after you post it?

Sometimes I see comments with typos (including my own), and it'd be really handy to be able to edit comments after I've hit "save" to change these mistakes that I and others have missed and didn't intend. I suggest a limited amount of time (maybe ~5mins) if possible, so that someone can't get a top comment, and then abuse it by using it for advertising etc.

The ads go too far on iphone. Take up significant portion of screen real estate. Time for me to find an imgur alternative.

The ads cross the line to being too obnoxious. This kills the imgur. Im on the lookout for something else that leaves enough screen real estate for me to see the images im trying to. Iphone screen is small.

Thanks for the feedback. The mobile ads are something new we were trying. If they're not working we will get rid of/alter them.

is there a trick to uploading into the gallery?

 when i try to upload a picture to the gallery, a box pops up asking me to add or save a title even though it has a title. i click save anyway, then the screen goes grey with a little "x" close button.... that's. about. it.

Still getting ads with sound.

Not sure if it's a bug or not, but I thought you took out all the ads with audio. I find them annoying, and am sure many others do too.

We don't allow our advertisers to use them, but there are thousands of ads on the site, so once in a while one slips through. If you can send details about which ad it was and which page you found it on, we can remove it. Thanks!

Show user's best captions

I'm proud of my more popular captions, as I'm sure we all are. So, on the user gallery profile page, maybe display somewhere a list of captions the user has posted which were ranked highest among all captions for a given image. Basically, a list of all captions which when you visit the image, show up as the top caption. Those are already marked on the image page, but an aggregation of these for each user would be excellent.
